Fenugreek is a plant that has been known to treat a variety of skin ailments. One of them—surprise, surprise—is acne! There are two main reasons for this. The first is its’ anti-inflammatory properties, and the second is its’ diuretic nature.

When taken orally, fenugreek is said to help your body eliminate toxins through your digestive system. And, as I’ve said in many, many of my blog posts—going to the bathroom is important! Why? Because when your body is not ridding itself of toxins naturally, these toxins can come out in different ways—through your skin!

You can also reap the benefits of fenugreek by using it topically. Simply mix fenugreek powder with warm water, until the mixture forms a paste. Then apply it to the face, or just on your skin’s trouble spots. Leave it on for 20 minutes before washing it off.

In the comments, let me know if this is something you would try. If you’ve previously tried fenugreek, tell me about your experience!

Bonus* While doing research for this post, I came across a website that sells fungreek for 20% off. Check it out HERE

  1. Thank you for the informative tip. So many teens are on Accutane which is unsafe and not natural and often unnecessary. Sufficient-C is also a great option.

    1. I’ve actually taken Accutane 3 different times in my life. It only worked for a short period of time. The only way to TRULY TRULY get rid of acne is to take care of it from the inside out–naturally. Thanks for sharing!
